As part of my continued commitment to providing you the safest, most comfortable, highly professional massage experience possible, please review a few updated policies and procedures that will be part of my regular business practice as I reopen my studio doors on May 31st!
Appointment Booking
I will be working on a by appointment basis only until further notice. No walk-in services will be available at this time. Appointments will be available to my current clients starting May 31st. I hope to open my practice to new clients following the July 4th holiday weekend. I will be working a modified schedule, offering appointments on Sundays and Wednesdays, and re-evaluating those hours based on demand.
Pre-payment will be required for all appointments booked online, providing you with no hassle, contactless check-out! Clients will have the option of standard check-out or contactless invoiced payment for appointments made in person or over the phone.
Online booking can be made up to 24 hours before your desired appointment time. If you need to check same-day appointment availability, you can do so by contacting me via voice or text at 515-979-0115.
Health History/Intake Form Updates
An email will be sent prior to each scheduled appointment asking you to update any changes to your health, including 3 short questions related to COVID-19 symptoms and exposure. Those 3 questions are the first items listed on my electronic intake form, so they will be easy to find. Any information you have provided in the past will remain, you will only need to note any NEW health related information of which I should be aware. You will need to complete your update by electronically signing and dating the waiver portion of the form.
Linens & Cleaning
Since fresh linens for each client, cleaning of the massage table, props, and tools after each use, and frequent handwashing are regularly observed practices in massage therapy, you probably won’t even notice the extra disinfecting related steps that I will be doing behind the scenes. An easily launderable flannel sheet will be used for warmth and weight during your session in place of my normal cotton weave blankets, which will still be available by request. I have added a HEPA air filter to the room and will be extending my transition time between appointments to allow for extra disinfecting and air filtration. High touch surfaces will be cleaned between clients and hand sanitizer will be readily available for your use before and after your massage.
Masks
Out of respect for your health, and as an extra precautionary step since social distancing is not possible during massage, I will be wearing a mask during your massage session. A fresh mask will be used for each client. You may choose to wear a mask to/during your session, but wearing one will not be required at this time.
Cancellations
Should you feel the need to cancel your appointment, for ANY reason, no cancellation fee will be assessed. I understand that many of us are still operating in a state of day-to-day, sometimes minute-to-minute, uncertainty and I never want you to feel punished for having to make the hard decision to cancel your much anticipated massage service if the need arises.
GR!T Facility Info
At this time, only staff and clients will be allowed in the GR!T facility, cutting down on the number of people who will be using common spaces such as the lobby and restrooms. Cleaning and disinfecting in these areas is occurring on a regular basis for the protection and health of all!
Yoga
At this time I do not have any in-person yoga offerings scheduled. A number of full yoga practices (originally offered through Facebook Live over the past several months) are available on my Facebook page. As I continue to explore the best ways to offer yoga based instruction, I will be sharing details on my webpage and social media accounts!
